Naughty Nutellas

Naughty Nutellas… POSTED BY @MissJasmine_C

SERVES 12

I’m always in the mood to bake and I absolutely love it… but not the cleaning part. I made basic chocolate cupcakes and was simply going to spread icing on top. However, I then decided to transform my simple cupcake into a masterpiece… what I call, ‘Naughty Nutellas’. So follow my simple recipe on how to make these chocolate sandwich cupcakes.
What you’ll need…..
·         125g self-raising flour
·         125g soft margarine
·         125g caster sugar
·         2 medium sized eggs
·         1 tablespoon cocoa powder
·         1 teaspoon vanilla essence
·         One big tub of nutella

Method:
1)     First, preheat the oven at 180°C.
2)     Crack the eggs and whisk into a bowl, and then add your margarine. Mix these thoroughly and slowly add the caster sugar and stir this continuously.
3)     Now add your self-raising flour into the bowl and stir gently. Then add your vanilla essence and cocoa powder to the mixture.
4)     Lastly, place about 1 heaped tablespoon of the cake mixture into cupcake holders and place these in the oven for around 25 minutes but check every 10 minutes.

How to turn your simple cupcakes into Naughty Nutellas…
5)     Once you have taken your cupcakes out from the oven they should look like the ones that are in the picture on this post.
6)     Let them cool for around 15 minutes and then remove the cupcake holder so that the cupcakes are on their own.
7)     Place these on a flat surface and cut them in half so that they are like sandwiches.
8)     With a spatula, place a lot of nutella inside and cover it with the other half of the cupcake and voila, Naughty Nutellas.

You can experiment with your cupcakes in any way you want to from transforming the plain appearance of your cupcake into something completely different. With this recipe you could even put different icing in the middle instead of nutella!
